Questions and Answers about Becoming a NH Certified Landscape Professional

HOW DO I BECOME CERTIFIED?
Step 1: You need to take an exam, which is based on the NHLA Certification Manual.
The next exam will be held in March of 2014.
Step 2: Download and Complete the Application and Code of Ethics.
Step 3: Mail your Application, Code of Ethics and exam fee ($75 for NHLA members; $100 non-members; the fee for the Plant ID portion only is $40) to:

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR THE EXAM?
All the exam questions come directly from the manual so a comprehensive study of the manual is highly recommended. There will be evening review sessions before the exam is held. Please contact Scot Flewelling or check out our website for a review session schedule and registration.
WHERE DO I PURCHASE A MANUAL?
Manuals can be purchased by sending a check for $75.00 made payable to NHLA to: Scot Flewelling, NHLA Certification Coordinator, 819A Loudon Ridge Rd., Loudon, NH 03307.
HOW OFTEN DO I RENEW MY CERTIFICATION?
Certification is renewed once each year in March. In order to renew, you need to complete 5 maintenance credits during the year, complete the renewal form and mail it along with a check for $20.00 made out to NHLA. An explanation of how maintenance credits are obtained is in the manual. Download necessary forms below:
